Dr. Nakumbe holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and is licensed in the state of Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). He is an EMDR Certified Clinician and holds advanced certifications in forensic counseling, forensic trauma treatment, problematic sexual behavior intervention, neurodivergence-informed practice, ADHD clinical services, and couples-focused intervention.

He is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, with advanced training in relational and recovery-focused behavioral coaching.

Dr. Nakumbe is a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor and has served in clinical, consultative, and supervisory roles across outpatient, forensic, recovery, and professional practice settings.
